Do yourself a favor & set aside a few minutes to check out Airsoft Crier's YouTube Channel for these round table discussions. It's really good stuff, and you'll hear some familiar names & events.

Bagel and I have had this or at least a variant of this conversation. It looks to me like a lot of re-inventing the wheel. The basic issue is that the sport of airsoft needs to realize that all participants are indeed customers. And a balance should be struck between the game and the players. One of the weaknesses that I see in airsoft is the rigid groupings by uniforms. IMHO colored arm bands allow for the balancing of teams. I do understand the several points involved. But if a company really wants to be able to balance the teams/armies then arm bands is the way to go.

Armbands would work for airsoft, but it would never fly in milsim, which is what they're talking about. Big difference between the two.

Yea I'm on the boat that you might as well wrap your arm band around your hicap. Then light it on fire. I have been at events where arm bands were instituted and let me tell you It is really hard to identify at long distances. The solution would be to use a neon color. However then that puts the people wearing the arm band at a dis advantage.
