Operation End State brought the Instigators together with WRMS, forming a powerful team that (along with Coal Creek Command and Delta Nine) drove the UFS army from the field almost immediately after the battle began. Thanks to that speedy victory, the Instigators and allies were assigned to defend Point #5: the final roadblock to a UFS comeback. Despite being outnumbered nearly 4-1, and faced with heavy enemy armor assets, the Instigators held their position till the final moments of the operation. This action tied up the bulk of the UFS forces, ultimately costing them the battle. Instigator veterans of that battle wear a number "5" patch to represent their participation.
